Kitchen, Lounge & Bedroom Done (9/8/04)
It has been about three weeks since I have moved in, so
it is finally good to see some furniture in my little pad. Since our last
update have spent time on painting the laundry, which had to be done before
the appliances went in. Dad came by and helped finish off putting in the
appliances, meaning the oven and cooktop and fixing in the sink, and hooking
up the mixer tap. Finally nice to be able to use the kitchen properly
- Thanks Dad. Dad also came to the rescue with tiling in the kitchen,
after much debate on white or alabaster, Andrew and I decided on Alabaster,
looks like the colour was made for the kitchen, and now that it is finished
off, looks brilliant!
Heidi also featured in this weekend's reno shopping, with
a little jaunt to Spotlight and Lincraft choosing curtains for bedrooms,
got a really nice blue set for Bed 1 and looking at getting a beige set
for 2nd and blinds for kitchen and bathroom (which are yet to be hung).
So take a look, it is definitely getting there, things
to do still, including finishing digging up the front yard and completing
it and cleaning up laundry and bathroom, and of course the mild bathroom
reno. Phew!
