Started out the day by lifting up the carpets in the lounge area. The carpet
wasn't too hard to lift up, and fortunately the lino tiles the glue had
worn out and they pretty much pulled straight up.
Heidi our impromptu helper for the day turned up a few hours later, she
never knew that pulling out a linen cupboard was such an aggression release,
so gloves on hands and our favourite the jimmy bar, we both took to it.
A bit later we had most of the cupboard out. Unfortunately encountered
some small troubles, I lifted up the skirting board near the cupboard
and jiggled the cornice at the top, more repairs will need to be made.
Yeah, close to the end of the day now, 4 hours spent at the block today,
so not a huge day, but it is a public holiday. got a lot done today. Andrew
turned up and helped Mum take off with the carpets. The living area is
now showing a bit a promise. Today proved to be one of those days though
that we wrecked more than we fixed, brings back memories of day 1 and
2.
